All About Mrs. Cliff
Dear Students,
My name is Mrs. Cliff and I am going to be your fourth grade teacher this year at Walt Disney Elementary. I am so excited to have this opportunity. One of the reasons I became a teacher is because I love helping people. In this profession, I get that chance everyday.
My Educational Philosophy:
I believe that the classroom is a community. Within this community, the student has the right to feel safe and learn in an environment that is conducive to creating and improving on his or her strengths. Each child will be challenged daily, and their success in the classroom will be based upon how they handle the challenges presented to them. Whether these challenges are academic, social or emotional, each child will be able to exceed their original expectations for themselves.
Communication with students and parents is critical to the student’s success. Parents have a vision of where they want their children to be. It is important that a teacher, student, and parent work together to create the best learning environment for the child. Being available through direct email, phone, and conferences will allow for the constant communication each student needs for success.
I encourage my students to think outside the walls of the classroom. I apply all lessons to real world situations; so that the students can understand what they are learning is important and practical. By teaching lessons beyond the confines of the classroom, I am able to create passionate and caring young individuals that believe they can make a difference in their community.
